No confidential data is collected
What information is collected from website or browser extension?
Website
This website is developed as a single-page application (SPA) meaning that when the website is loaded every action (except one) is performed in the browser using pure javascript. That means that no information is sent to the server, except in one situation.
The one excepting is when extracting certificates from metadata url. Most websites don't allow CORS (Wikipedia about CORS) which means that it is not possible for the javascript to download the metadata file from another domain. To circumvent this, the url is sent to the server, which then download the file and post it back to the website for certifiate extraction. Metadata doesn't contain anything secret and that is the reason why they are exposed publically. If you don't want the url is sent to the server to download the metadata file, then you can manually download the file and paste in the content on the website. Then the certificates are extracted and no url is sent to the server.
No data is logged on the server, but Google Analytics is used to track usage.
Browser extensions
The browser extensions are selfcontained so no information is sent to server.
When and what kind of information is collected?
Information is only collected if an error occurs, so it can be fixed and make your experience better. This error information is sent to the server:
